Elanore R. Traxler

Elanore R. Traxler, 87, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at her home.

Born September 14, 1936, in Germany Valley, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Myrtle (Rutter) Beavor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Traxler Jr., who passed Aug. 8, 1973; children, Boyd Traxler, Connie Guthridge; siblings, Helen Brandt, Meril Winnick, Winston Beaver, John Beaver, and three infant sisters.

She is survived by her children, Cathy McNeil, of Pittsburgh, Paul D. Traxler III, of Mount Union, William Traxler and wife, Peggy, of Lewistown, Irma Traxler, of Harrisburg, Randy L. Traxler and wife, Amy, of Lewistown, Tammy Seward and husband, Richard, of Lewistown; 15 grandchildren; many loving great-grandchildren; siblings, Isophene Traxler and husband, Joseph, of Chambersburg, Ray Beaver and wife, Ursula, of TX.

She was Protestant by faith.

Elanore was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read, and her family meant everything to her.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastors Patrick and Randy Traxler officiating.

Interment will take place at IOOF Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace.
