Fay L. Harpster, 94, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her home.
Born October 22, 1930, in Northumberland, she was the daughter of the late George F. McGinness and Bertha (Foltz) McGinness.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Harpster; brothers, Cluston, Earlston, and James McGinness; and a sister, Pauline Naylor.
She is survived by; children, Jo A. Frontz and husband, Calvin, of Yeagertown, Steven Harpster and wife, Daria, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Daniel Picketts and companion, Leanne Faulkner, Abbey Picketts and husband, Dave Thomas, Molly Picketts, Lacie Wert and husband, Tim, Nokota Harpster; great-grandchildren, Mason and Deja Faulkner, Beacham Thomas, Jesse Heckendorn, Gracen Heckendorn, Kohen Wert, Jocie Wert; and a special friend, Dick Smith.
She was a member of Walnut St. U.M.C. and attended White Memorial Congregational Church, and a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Fay was instrumental in the early planning of Burnham community days.
Receiving of friends will be held from 11 am to 12 pm., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 12 p.m., with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating.
