Frank W. Simonetti, formerly of Milroy, passed away on November 14, 2020, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
Born September 18, 1930, in Burnham, he was a son of the late Anthony and Emanuala (Villano) Simonetti.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: wife, Freda (McKinney) Simonetti; a daughter, Susan Simonetti and granddaughter, Kayla Simonetti; stepmother Catherine Simonetti, siblings, Samuel Simonetti, Mary Zampelli, Lucy Summers, Archangelina (Lena) Ricci, Ralphetta Johnston, Antoinetti Ciconi, Charles Simonetti, Cyril Simonetti, and Ida Havice; and half-siblings, Nickolas Simonetti, Anthony Simonetti, Virginia Henry, and Grace Thomas.
He is survived by: children, R. Keith Simonetti and wife, Carol, of Elverson, Carol Y. Desiderati, of Dillsburg, Ronald P Simonetti and wife, Barbara, of Reedsville, and Christopher G. Simonetti and wife, Pamela, of Reedsville; ten grandchildren, Marcus, Tania, Mathew, Trina, Kevin, Robin, Travis, Zachary, Lucas, and Tobin; 20 great-grandchildren, brother, Paul Simonetti; half-siblings, Annie Smith, Angeline Lindsay, Catherine Royer, and Judy Peters; and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
He was a Milroy High School graduate class of 1949, and a graduate of Dry-Cleaning trade school in Washington D.C.
In his earlier years, he worked at the Milroy and Reedsville Dry Cleaners, and then as Electrolux salesman. He was the manager of the Lewistown office for 20 years. He then worked as a self-employed vacuum cleaner sales and service for another 20 years. He was known as “The sweeper man.”
He was an avid fan of Pro Wrestling WWF and enjoyed the time spent with his family.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at Juniata Memorial Park with the Sacred Heart Church presiding. There will be no public viewing due to the current Covid virus situation. A Memorial service may be planned at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
