Frederick W. McMillin, Jr.

Frederick W. McMillin Jr., 77, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, December 24, 2023.

Born November 20, 1946, in Lewistown, He was the son of the late Frederick W. McMillin Sr. and Mary I. (Foor) McMillin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Jason T. McMillin; and two brothers, Mike and John McMillin.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Wilson) McMillin; two sons, Frederick C. McMillin, of Cailf., Richard A. McMillin and wife, Jessica, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Chloe, Cierra, Carley, and R.J. McMillin; and sisters, Sandra Koontz and husband, John, Edith Shoemaker.

Fred was a member of Lewistown Alliance Church, and a board member of Juniata Terrace.

He was a Lewistown High School graduate.

Fred was a United States Army veteran who served in Vietnam.

In his earlier years, he worked as a long haul trucker.

He enjoyed being outdoors going hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren, and feeding the birds.

A receiving of friends will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2023, at Lewistown Alliance Church, 50 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor Neil Breneman officiating.

Special services will be held by the Juniata Veterans Council and VFW Post 7011.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred’s memory to, Lewistown Alliance Church, 50 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
