Garry Lee Laughman, 79, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Oct. 31, 1941, in Hanover, he was a son of the late Stewart Q. and Geneva J. (Laughman) Laughman.
In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by: daughter, Victoria Anderson; three brothers, Dale Laughman, Stewart Laughman Jr., in infancy, and Rodger Laughman; and a step-daughter, Nancy Louise Fisher.
Surviving are: wife, Dorothy M. (Adams) Laughman, whom he married June 27, 1980; children, Garry Lee Laughman Jr. and wife, Selena, Wanda J. Allenbaugh, and Mary Willard, all of Selinsgrove; step-children, Deb Kohler and husband, Ed, Patricia Miller and husband, Jay, Dale Fisher and wife, Tam, all of Lewistown, Helen Weidman and husband, Craig, of New Holland, and Brian Fisher and Companion, Lori Hetrick, of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; and eight siblings, Robert Laughman, of Chambersburg, Douglas Laughman, of York, Ralph Laughman, of Hanover, Joyce Sheaffer, of Glen Rock, Treva Anderson, of York, Deborah Laughman, of Glen Rock, Kathy Schell, of York, and Melissa Laughman, of Mechanicsburg.
Garry was a member of Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) Church, where he served as head usher for many years.
He was employed as a molder at Lear Corporation for over 18 years and retired when the plant relocated in 2002.
Garry was a former member of Junction Fire Company, Junction and Lewistown Fire Police, Junction and Brooklyn Auxiliary Police, and the Lewistown Moose Lodge. Most recently, he enjoyed calling Bingo at Kish Apartments.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon, Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Lewistown CMA Church, Juniata Terrace, 50 Hudson Avenue, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service, with Rev. John Looney and Pastor Donald Weidman officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
