Gene J. Hartsock, 71, entered into eternal peace on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born March 29, 1953, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Howard and Virginia (Kessinger) Hartsock.

He is survived by his wife, Connie L. (Goss) Hartsock; children, Clint Goss and wife, Carrie, of Mifflintown, Katrena Goss, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Robert, Sarah, Seth, Emilykay, Karah, Clinton; siblings, Charles Hartsock Sr. and wife, Deb, of Lewistown, Kathy Foltz and husband, Jeff, of Lewistown, Jack Hartsock, of Milroy, and Charles Hartsock Jr., of Lewistown.

Gene was a 1972 graduate of Penn Highland High School.

He worked as a lineman for Henkels & McCoy Telephone Company where he later retired.

He was loved by many. He loved his family, friends, and pets, Ranger, Chinook, Kidders, Elsamac, Teddy and favorite Miss Kitty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gene’s memory to Cancer Society or Centre County Paws.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Lind Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Buck Carolus officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
