Glen Vincent Breon, 89, of Lewistown, passed away after a brief illness at 11:07 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at Greenwood Village.
Born May 21, 1935, in Yeagertown, he was a son of the late Clair and Gertrude (McCord) Breon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: brothers, Willis and Donald Breon; sisters, Dorothy O’Donnell and Joyce Gilbert; and son-in-law, Robert Swisher.
Glen is survived by: wife, Yvonne “Vonnie” (Evans) Breon, whom he married April 13, 1957; children, Timothy Breon, of Lewistown, Rodney Breon, of Milroy, and Lisa Swisher, of Lewistown; grandson, Aaron Wilt, of Lewistown; sister, Beverly Hummel and husband, Neil, of Allentown; and sister-in-law, Kay Breon, of Yeagertown.
He was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1954.
Glen attended Centre Union Church in Yeagertown.
He worked as a carpenter for various contractors in his early years. He retired from Standard Steel Corporation as a bricklayer.
Glen was an accomplished baseball pitcher in his youth.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Centre Union Church, 200 Greenwood Avenue, Yeagertown, followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m., with Reverend Kurtis Swisher officiating.
Private interment will take place at Vira Methodist Cemetery.
