On January 12, 1963, he married Faith L. Bigelow, who preceded him in death on November 11, 2021. Following the passing of his loving wife of 59 years, he found comfort in the company of his family and close friends.

He is survived by his children Jeanette L. Malinoski and husband, Paul, Judy L. Treaster and husband, Jeff, Christian F. Hassinger and wife, Beth. He was very proud of his grandchildren and their families, Morgan Graybill and husband, Andrew, Cameron Hazel and husband, Corey, Jordan Treaster and wife, Julisa, Alexander Malinoski and fiancé Lauren Fuerst, Valerie Malinoski and fiancé Conner Switzer, and Dyson Treaster. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Bowen, Barrett, and Oliver.

Harold was a lifetime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Siglerville.

He graduated from Kishacoquillas High School in 1962.

Harold retired from Penelec Electric Company in 2003. After retirement he worked for First Energy doing OSHA Training until 2023.

He is fondly remembered for being a friend to all and made his rounds, engaging in conversation with everyone he met. He loved the mountains and his cabin—it was a special place where family and friends gathered, and everlasting memories were made.
