Harry James Butler, 59, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born Nov. 12, 1961, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Catherine I. (Harbst) Butler.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by: daughter, Katie R. Butler; sister, Sandra K. Middaugh; and a nephew, William B. Jordon.
Harry is survived by: wife, Renee (Christie) Butler; daughters, Sarah E. Butler and Allyson M. Butler, both of Lewistown; stepson, Marquise T. Williams, of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Ricky, Masiyah, Nahla and Jaylen Jenkins, and Aleyjah Robinson; four step-grandchildren, Jazelle, Serenity, Adrienna and Leilani Williams; nieces and nephew, Tasha R. Jones, Aaron K. Smith and Cheryl K. Hockenberry; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonathan Geedy, Monica Nipple, Rylie and Xzander Baker and Willow Jones.
He was a Lewistown High School graduate and member of the high school football team.
He was a member of the Church of God, and a volunteer firefighter for Henderson Fire Company, Lewistown.
Earlier in life, Harry was employed by Heller’s Funeral Home, where he took care of vehicle maintenance. He was a welder at Metlmex Corporation, and most recently, was employed as a journeyman welder by Pa. Department of Transportation. He was a member of the AFSCME Union.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
A graveside service and committal will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Birch Hill Cemetery, Eighth Ave., Burnham, with Reverend Glenn Smith officiating.
