Howard Clair Parson Sr., 82, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:54 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1939, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Luther and Zelma (Armstrong) Parson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Parson, and sister, Sarah Jane Bowers.
Howard is survived by: wife, Diane Grace (Nicoloff) Parson, whom he married Sept. 13, 1972; five children, Charlie Hampton and wife, Holly, of Lewistown, Tina Parson and companion, Nicholas Welshonse, of Lewistown, Howard C. Parson Jr. and wife, Molly, of Cairo, Ga., Paula Parson and companion, James Close, of Lewistown, and James Parson, of Lewistown; and eight grandchildren.
Howard retired as a steel roller from Overhead Door Manufacturing, Lewistown.
He enjoyed working outdoors, caring for his property and tinkering with mowers. Howard was a loving husband and father, and a great man. He will be missed by his family, friends and many others.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
