Irma M. (Julian) Zewe

Irma M. Zewe, 97, of Valley View Haven, passed away at 6:20 a.m., Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.

Born May 7, 1927, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Rose (Degenhardt) Julian.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Regis J. Zewe, on July 25, 2002, brother, Donald S. Julian and wife Barbara, and sister, Joyce Harrold and husband, Donald, both of Pittsburgh.

Irma is survived by her children, Stephpen E. Zewe and wife, Delain, of Lewistown, Susan Searer and husband, Timothy, of Lewistown, and Elaine A. Zewe and partner, Alain Vinette, of Quebec, Canada, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Irma was a faithful member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lewistown.

She was employed by Standard Steel Corporation as a stenographer and keypunch operator in her earlier years.  Later, Irma worked in the office at Danks & Company Department Store in downtown Lewistown for eight years, prior to retiring.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2025, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 North Dorcas Street, Lewistown, with Father Kevin Coyle officiating.

Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Irma's memory may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parish Office, 9 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044, or Mifflin County Library, 123 N. Wayne St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
