J. Marlene Burkholder Obituary

J. Marlene Burkholder, 87, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.


Born November 18, 1936, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Stella (Kasmark) Fisher.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence ‘Larry’ Burkholder, and a daughter, Marla Burkholder.


She is survived by a daughter, Kelly Yoder and husband, Rodney, of Lewistown; grandson, Ronald Yoder and wife, Kimberly, of Lewistown; great-granddaughters, Palmer and Wrenley Yoder; and a cousin who was like a brother, Larry Sutusky.


She was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1954.


Earlier in Life Marlene worked as an operator for Bell Telephone, spent a year outin California working for The Marina Federal Savings and Loan before returning home.


Marlene’s family was her greatest joy. She will be deeply missed.


Services are private andat the convenience of the family.


Interment will be held at Salem Cemetery.


Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
