James B. Carolus Jr., 75, of Lewistown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019.
Born Dec. 9, 1943, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late James B. Carolus Sr. and Ella Mae (Bailey) Carolus.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra P. (Shade) Carolus, whom he married in 1967; children, Christina L. Willard and husband, Tony, and James B. Carolus III, and wife, Amy, both of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Andrew Willard, Brooke Willard, Dustin Carolus and Erika Carolus; and a brother, Buck Carolus, of Lewistown.
Jim was a Lewistown High School graduate and a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Jim helped in the operations of the Derry-Decatur TV Cable Company from 1974 to 1983. In addition, he worked in construction and excavation for different companies, retiring from Womex Inc. in 2009.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, a great storyteller and he enjoyed woodworking. Above all, Jim strongly believed that family always came first.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
