James E. Haines Obituary

James E. Haines, 74, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his home.


Born September 11, 1951, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Whorten E. Haines Sr. and Isabella (Huff) Haines.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers.


James is survived by his daughter, Virginia Haines; siblings, Jerry Haines, of Burnham, Kevin Haines and fiancé, Dawn Michaels, of Burnham, Susan M. Henry, of Lewistown, Mary Minium and husband, Bobby, of McAlisterville, Whorten E. Haines Jr., of Liverpool, Carl Haines and wife, Judy, of Lewistown, Ronald Haines, of Lewistown, Gilbert Stover, of Petersburg, Margaret Peck and husband, Donald, of Mifflintown, Mona Haines, of Lewistown, Alice Stover, of Texas, and Dave Stover.


He had a passion for collecting eagle and deer memorabilia, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and cherished the moments he spent with his family.


Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
