James William Seiler, 64, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:10 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born Sept. 26, 1955, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Boyd P. Sr. and Gladys E. (Royer) Seiler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd P. Seiler Jr.
James is survived by: his wife, Violet Y. (Miller) Seiler, whom he married Aug. 8, 1972; children, James Seiler and wife, Nicole, and Angela Wise and husband, Ashley, both of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Jasmine Spangler and husband, Alex, Landon Seiler, Raelyn Seiler, Owen Wise and Mara Wise; great-granddaughters, Kennedy Rose and Ella Grace Spangler; and siblings, Judy Treaster, of Milroy, Beatrice Goodhart and husband, Robert, of McAlisterville, Jane Yohn and husband, Denny, Nancy Franklin and husband, Glen, both of Lewistown, and Dave Seiler and wife, Polly, of Florida.
He was a Penn Highlands High School, Chief Logan Campus graduate.
James was employed as a machinist at LECO Corporation, Tem-Pres Division, in Bellefonte.
James loved his family and lived for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion in Milroy, loved fishing and camping, working on cars and his '68 Camaro, and playing cards. He was also a fan of all Philadelphia sports.
A receiving of friends will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Feb. 18, followed by a funeral service, at the Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 50 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, with Pastor Neil Breneman officiating.
Private graveside service and interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
