Jane E. Rittenhouse, 76, of Reedsville, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born April 1, 1949, in McClure, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Mary A. (Hommel) Snook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon R. ‘Huck’ Rittenhouse; four brothers, Arthur Jr., Russell ‘Red’, Irvin ‘Sam’, and Donald Lee Snook; two sisters, Anna Mary Kline, and Grace Hunter.
She is survived by a special companion Ike Aumiller; daughter, Re-Nae Reiss and husband, Kenneth, of North Carolina; step-children, Vickie R. Snelbaker, Billy R. Rittenhouse, and Lisa Witmer-Feltrow; grandchildren, Ashley R. Reiss and companion, Levi Trull, and Alexander Reiss; and two step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; siblings Betty Bailey, of Lewistown, Martha Bonson and husband, Clarence, of Reedsville; special niece Kandi Slemmons and family; brother-in-law, Robert Hunter, of Yeagertown.
Jane was a Protestant by faith.
She was a member of Milroy American Legion #287 and Yeagertown Fire Company.
Early in life, she worked at Arrow Shirt Factory and Scotty’s Fashions.
Jane enjoyed time with her daughter and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
