Jane H. Zook

Jane H. Zook, 80, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Born on September 25, 1943, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Leroy Horning Sr. and Cartes (Smoker) Horning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Zook; companion, Yogi Laub; a sister, Mary Jo Johnson; and a brother, Samuel Leroy Horning Jr.

She is survived by; a daughter, Lora J. Zook, of Newport; grandchildren, Trevor Shawver, Ethan Shawver, Gele Shawver, Caitlyn Shawver, Samantha Johnson, Maxwell Johnson, Linsey Wagner, and Leah Wagner; nephew, Samuel Tyler Horning and wife, Lisa, of Germany; special friends, Tami and Ron Shawver, of Lewistown, and Rex Johnson, of Wellsboro; brother-in-law, Terry Johnson; niece, Elizabeth Etters and a nephew, Mati Johnson, of Carmel, IN

Jane was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1961.

She was a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.

In her earlier years, she worked at Russell Bank, and she owned her own candle making shop called Scentsation Etc.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a memorial service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mike Bailey officiating.

Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery.
