Janet B. Bousum, 84, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born April 18, 1937, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Trilba (Narehood) Rothrock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: daughter, Sharon Kay Stuck, Dec. 19, 2020; brothers, Richard and Nelson Rothrock; sisters, Charlotte Barker and Betty Coffey; and special friend, Lester Chet Rager.
Janet is survived by: granddaughters, Charlene O’Neal and husband, Ronald, of Hopewell, and Terri Guernsey and husband, Curtis, of Middleburg; great-grandson, Troy O’Neal; siblings, Helen Yocum, of Burnham, Sue Wheeler and husband, Gene, of Lewistown, Sandi Rothrock, of Conneaut, Ohio, and Steven Rothrock and wife, Deb, of Lewistown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was employed as a cook at Green Gables restaurant for 24 years, then worked in the press room at Scotty’s Fashions, and lastly, was a cook at Tony’s Cottage Inn.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at Noon, Friday, July 16, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Justin Troup officiating.
Interment will take place at McClure Union Cemetery.
