Janet A. Fisher, 92, of Lewistown, passed away, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 22, 1932, in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late John W. Harnish, and Charles W. and Ruth Mae (Brown) Spigelmyer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Fisher, Sr.; her sons, James E. Fisher, Jr and Charles E. Fisher; and her brother, Bernard Harnish.
She is survived by her children, Karen S. Fisher, of Lewistown, Jan E. Fisher, of Lewistown, Jason R. Fisher and wife, Heather, of Lithopolis, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Esther M. Homan, of Lewistown, Charlene A. Peters of Strodes Mills and her companion, John Gregory, of Lewistown. and Susan Sassaman, of Lewistown; and daughters-in-law, Kathy Fisher, of Belleville and Tina Lefevre of Yeagertown.
Janet attended Derry Township High School.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Janet dedicated 26 years of service to the Dietary Department at Lewistown Hospital. She also worked at the Y.M.C.A.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at Juniata Memorial Park with Pastor Teresa Fink officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home 75 Logan Street, Lewistown.
