Janet A. (Loper) Harris

Janet A. Harris, 90, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:10 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at her home.             

Born Feb. 22, 1931, in Duncannon, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Pearl (Durham) Loper.     

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, Robert W. Harris; son, Stephen Harris; two brothers; and three sisters.     

Surviving are: children, Stuart Harris and Robert Harris and wife, Brenda, both of Lewistown, Joy Manolis and husband, Peter, of Lahaina, Hawaii, and Balerie Henry and husband, James, of Mt. Joy; twelve grandchildren, Carrie Harris, Mary Trego, Danny Harris, Stacey Edwards, Francesca Royer, Brad, Bill and Robert Harris, Kristie Shilling, Tiffani Manolis, Cory and Matthew Henry; and numerous great-grandchildren.   

She attended Highland Park Presbyterian Church.  

Janet worked during her early years as a cafeteria manager at Harrisburg Academy.    

Private services were held, with interment at Millerstown Riverview Cemetery.    

Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, Lewistown, was in charge of arrangements.
