Jay A. Erb

Jay A. Erb, 60, of Lewistown, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at his home.

Born September 2, 1960, in Lewistown, he was a son to the late Billy K. Erb Sr. and Gwendolyn “Joy” (Loundenslager) Erb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Cindy Uhler.

He is survived by; husband, Charles E. Fabian; his siblings, Melody Erb, of Ryde, Tammy Erb, of Carlisle, and Billy Erb Jr. and his wife, Wava, of Belleville; and a niece, Mackenzie Erb, of Belleville.

He graduated from Chief Logan High School, Class of 1979.

Jay studied floral designer at FTD Florist Transworld Delivery and Floral Desing at Bill Hixon School of Floral Design.

He was the owner of J.A.E. Designs.

Jay loved life and loved people. He could always put a smile on your face and put joy in your heart. His love of color and flowers made him one of Mifflin county's ‘favorite’ florists. He had an incredible talent, and his flower arrangements were simply amazing, whether you were ordering for a special occasion or stopping at his shop for an impromptu arrangement. Jay will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and the community.

A receiving of friends and family will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Pastor Craig Munnell officiating.
