Jean D. Bilger, 88, of Mifflin, passed away August 21, 2025, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.
Born June 13,1937 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Knepp and Stella Catherine (Adams) Knepp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. ‘Pete’ Bilger; son, Dennis A. Bilger and brothers, Donald E. Knepp and Larry C. Knepp and sisters, Barbara L. Ochoa and Carol R. Ohman.
She is survived by children, David W. Bilger and wife, Tuolummie ‘Tally’, of Lewistown, Douglas E. Bilger and wife, Kathy, of Mifflin, Darcy L. Romig, of McClure, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean graduated from Rothrock High School and was Methodist by faith.
Devoted to her family, she spent her life as a dedicated homemaker and generously gave her time as a longtime volunteer with the Salvation Army.
A private graveside service to be held at Juniata Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown.
