Jennifer Lee Appleby, 66, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at her home.

Born July 26, 1958, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late John and Roberta Inez (Cherry) Powell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Appleby; and a son, Jack Appleby; and a daughter, Holly Jo Appleby; siblings, Donna Kratzer, Lois Specht, Patty Sechrist, Rosie Kauffman, Johnny Powell, and Cathy Gearhart; step-granddaughter, Amara Beth Kratzer Richard.

She is survived by a companion of 30 years, Brian Kratzer; children, Heather Appleby, of Lewistown, Nichole Wilson and husband, Randy, of GA; step-daughter, Danielle Richard and husband, Scott, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Jeremy and Noah Knepp, father Larry Knepp, Summer and Autumn Appleby, father, Dave Bratton, Jasmyn Auman, father Dave Auman, Randy III, and Ava Wilson; step-grandchildren, Darin and Morgan Richard; great-grandchildren, Kasen Knepp, Paisley, Jayce Knepp; siblings, Janice Gahagan and husband, Lewis, of Lewistown, Susan Wineland and husband, Joel, of Martinsburg, Debbie Hoover and husband, Larry, of Longfellow, Danny Powell and wife Kim, of Strodes Mills, Larry Powell, of Lewistown, Jimmy Powell, of Bangkok, Thailand, and Rodger Powell, of  Ga.; numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Jennifer dedicated 23 years of her career to Kmart.

She was one of fourteen children, a testament to the large and loving family she was a part of. A devoted fan of the Eagles and Phillies, she also found great joy in the simpler things: spending time outdoors, gathering around campfires, listening music, and taking scenic drives through the mountains. She enjoyed spending quality time shopping with her grandchildren.

 A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Jeannine Leister and Mr. Buck Carolus officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
