Jennifer K. Mitchell

Jennifer K. Mitchell, 50, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born June 15, 1971, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of James and Kathy (Lennartz) Spagnoletti, who survives.

She was preceded in death by; her grandparents, Charlie and Peg Lennartz, Frank and Rachael Spagnoletti; and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dick and Louise Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by; her husband, Michael L. Mitchell; a son, Tyler Mitchell; two brothers, Brian Spagnoletti and wife, Jessie, of Camp Hill, and Joe Spagnoletti and wife, Kristen, of Fort Mills, SC; and two nieces, Alyssa and Ashlyn.

She graduated from Trinity High School, in Camp Hill. Jennifer attended St. Vincent College, in Latrobe and Penn State.

Jennifer was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

She passed away one day after the 27th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband, Michael.

She loved to be around family and friends, her son Tyler, was the light of her life.

While she was attending college, to her sorrow, she was unable to finish due to complications with Multiple Sclerosis. She was just short of graduation. She bravely endured and fought many issues and ramifications with this insidious disease, but it was always with a smile.  She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Father William Weary officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jennifer’s memory to: Sacred Heart of Jesus Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
