Joanne P. Wright, 90, formerly of Thompsontown, passed away at 3:44 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duncannon.

Born Nov. 3, 1934, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Marjorie (Wallize) Prettyleaf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Stewart Wright; son, Scott D. Basom; grandson, Shawn M. Basom; and a sister, Dorothy Ritter.

Joanne is survived by: four children, Steve Basom and wife, Susan, of Thompsontown, Sally Bomberger and husband, John, of Mims, Fla., Sandy Smith and husband, Mark, of Millersburg, and Stu Basom and wife, Joanne, of Enola; grandchildren, Stephanie Herman, Andrew Basom and Ali Basom; great-grandchild, Jessie Herman; and siblings, Susan Brummer, of Fishkill, N.Y., and James Prettyleaf, of Cupertino, Calif.

She was a Lewistown High School graduate and a homemaker.

Earlier in life, Joanne enjoyed camping and boating.  She loved playing cards and was a dedicated member of her card club for over 40 years.  Joanne was an avid Penn State football fan and also enjoyed playing the piano and making crafts.  She loved animals, especially her cats.

A graveside service and interment will be held later at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
