John P. Campbell Jr., 89, of Granville, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Premier at Susquehanna Village in Millersburg.
Born Sept. 11, 1930, in Burnham, he was a son of the late John P. Sr. and Gertrude (Hanley) Campbell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, June M. (Stuck) Campbell; infant daughter, Kay Campbell; brothers, Ray and Buddy Campbell; and sisters, Dolly Davis and Betty Freed. He was the last of his immediate family.
John is survived by: daughters, Cindy Myers and husband, Charles, of Mifflin, and Maylee Bernstein and husband, Dan, of Granville; grandchildren, Bobbie, Kay, John, Andrew and Sara; and six great-grandchildren.
He was an Army veteran during the Korean conflict, assigned to Company D, 67th Armored Regiment, Medium Tank Battalion, and achieved the rank of Corporal.
He retired from E. DeVecchis & Sons, of Burnham, as a forklift operator.
John enjoyed collecting Hess trucks. He loved the outdoors and working in his yard.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
