John Shawver Obituary

John Lee Shawver, of Belleville, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the age of 55. He’ll be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. 

Born April 14, 1970, in Lewistown, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.

John will be deeply missed by his mother, Susan J. (Fultz) Shawver; his devoted wife  Tracy Shawver; two sons, Daniel Kipp and companion Jordan Kuhns, Noah Shawver and fiancé, Allee Snook, all of Belleville; cherished grandchildren, Ellah, Masen, and Blake Kipp; siblings, Melissa Lamberson and husband, Jeff, of Belleville, Brian Shawver and wife, Jennifer, of McClure; brother-in-law, Matt Dudick and wife, Tasha, and their daughter, Madison; beloved nieces and nephews, Shannon, Jessica, Jeffrey, Kyle and wife, Nichole; great-niece, Olivia; great-nephew, John Luke.

He was predeceased by his father, John R. Shawver Jr. and his in-laws, Dan and Teresa Dudick

John was a 1989 graduate of Indian Valley High School John excelled in athletics participating in wrestling, football and baseball.

He worked at New Holland, Penn State University, and lastly at Standard Steel.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He brought happiness wherever he went, and possessed a remarkable ability to connect with others, quickly transforming strangers into friends. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of Penn State Football and wrestling, the Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed going on mountain rides, and being outdoors going hunting and fishing especially at Shade Mountain hunting camp in McClure.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home.
