Jon A. Dobson

Jon A. Dobson Sr., 72, formerly of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at AristaCare at Hearthside in State College.

Born Feb. 2, 1946, in Lewistown, he was a son to the late Brownie Dobson and Loretta (Havice) Boor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin J. Dobson Sr.

He is survived by: wife, Nancy J. (Knepper) Dobson, whom he married in 1966; children, Monica S. Yetter and husband, Marty, of Burnham, and Jon A. Dobson Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Travis Yetter, Lacey Yetter and fiance, Curtis Stewart, Jameson Price, and McKenna Price; and two great-grand- children, Layne and Marcy.

Jon was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1965.

He was employed by New Holland as a maintenance mechanic where he retired.

Jon enjoyed working with his hands and was the kind of person who knew how to fix anything. He took great pride in his work and his family. He was always eager to roll up his sleeves and offer help to anyone who needed it.

In accordance with Jon’s wishes, no services will be held.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., is in charge of the arrangements.
