Joseph E. 'Smoking Joe' Clark Sr., 65, of Lewistown, passed away at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 4, 2020, at his home.
Born Sept. 21, 1954, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William J. Clark Sr. and Dorothy L. (Milliken) Snook.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Clark Jr.
Joe is survived by: children, Misty Henry and husband, Jeremy, of Lewistown, Belynda Knepp, of McVeytown, Joseph Clark Jr. and companion, Jen Santiago, Michael Clark and companion, Martina Molek, and Matthew Clark, all of Lewistown; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Charles Clark, of Lewistown, Dorothy Goss, of Lewistown, John Clark and wife, Laurie, of N.C., Dawn Goodling and husband, Ken, of Thompsontown, and Sandra Albert and husband, George, of McClure; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He graduated from West Snyder High School.
Joe was an Army veteran who served from June 1974 to March 1976 and was stationed at Fort Knox.
He was a self-employed roofer and worked alongside his son, Michael.
Joe loved people and enjoyed socializing, listening to music and dancing.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with Mr. Ken Goodling officiating. Military honors will be provided at the close of the service by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
Interment will take place at a later date at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 US Highway 522 South, Lewistown.
