Joseph “Joe” Dominick Bucceri, 81, of Reedsville, passed away at 7:53 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born June 6, 1942, in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Rose (Guetta) Bucceri.
He is survived by: wife, Myra L. (Fleeger) Bucceri, whom he married Oct. 24, 1979; sons, Joseph A. Bucceri and wife, Rachel, of Calabash, N.C., David M. Bucceri, of New Castle, Michael S. Bucceri and wife, Dagmar, of Lacey, Wash., and Harlan Mone, of New Castle; numerous grandchildren; and siblings, Rosie Simmons, of Kingston, N.C., Cora Jones, of Hollidaysburg, and Arthur Bucceri and wife, Marlene, of Seward, Pa.
He earned his bachelor’s degree through Clarion University, and his master’s degree in science from Slippery Rock University of Pa.
Joe was employed by the Mifflin County School District as a high school chemistry and science teacher until he retired in 1996. After retirement, he and Myra operated a handyman business.
Joe was dearly loved by his family, friends, and many of the students he taught through the years. He will be missed.
Per his wishes, no services will be held.
