Josephine G. (Fultz) Newman

Josephine G. Newman, 96, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Jan. 9, 1924, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Marshal and Anna E. (Mitchell) Fultz.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, William Newman; two brothers; seven sisters; and sons-in-law, Gary Stein and Timothy Shumaker.  She was the last of her immediate family.

Josephine is survived by: daughters, Glenda Stein and Cindy Shumaker, both of Lewistown; granddaughters, Stephanie Stein and Tiffany Shumaker; and great-granddaughters, Victoria Wyland and Jessie Oxendine.

She was a homemaker and cleaned the homes of others for many years.

Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
