Karen E. Sweitzer, 68, of Lewistown, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on March 1, 1956, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Marcella (Stidfole) Wyland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Stidfole.

She is survived by; children, Daniel Wyland, Lynn Wyland, Ricky L. Sweitzer and companion, Bethany Bitner, and Jonathan Wyland; grandchildren, Logan, Emmett, Violet, Danielle, and Victoria; siblings, Steve Wyland, Gary Stidfole, Sharon Shank, Sue Wyland, and Harry Stidfole; extended family, Bill and Cathy Downer and their children, Billy and Jesse and Jesse’s daughter, Karmen.

Karen was a 1974 graduate of Chief Logan High School.

She was a homemaker, mother, and a grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially on holidays. She loved animals, and dogs were her favorite.

A receiving of friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
