Kathy J. Harshbarger, 66, of Lewistown, entered into eternal rest peacefully at 10:20 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at her home surrounded by family, ending her year-long battle with cancer.
Born March 4, 1954, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Kenneth J. and Dorothy A. (Johnson) Casner, of Lewistown, who survive.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving children: Angela Harshbarger-McCormick and husband, Chris, and Shawn Harshbarger and wife, Steph, both of Lewistown; grandchildren, Cameron, Whitney, Nash and Brea Harshbarger, who she loved with all her heart; siblings, who she was very close to, Randy Casner, Karol Tyson and partner, Todd Monroe, and Dale Casner, all of Lewistown; many nieces and nephews; and father of her children, Dennis Harshbarger and wife, Wanda, of Lewistown.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, John Glunt.
She was a 1972 graduate of Rothrock High School and a band majorette.
She was known for her hard work ethic and her immense love for her family and close friends. She was the first person to invite someone in need to a holiday meal. Spending time with her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved to dance and was known to cut a rug from time to time.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
