Kenneth James Shirey

Kenneth James Shirey, 68, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

Born Oct. 24, 1950, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Floyd A. and Mary S. (Melhorne) Shirey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene A. Norris.

He is survived by: siblings, Joan M. Brought, of Lewistown, Timothy E. Shirey, of Harrisburg, Jennifer L. Shirey and companion, Russell Blessing, of Lewistown, Rick A. Shirey, of Red Lion; many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly; friend and Pastor Travis Habbershon, of Lewistown.

He attended New Life Church and he owned and operated a business in appliance repair.

Kenneth volunteered at the Salvation Army, the SPCA, and dog rescue center while living in California. He loved his dogs and reading about wars and history. He enjoyed going fishing and was an avid Eagles football fan.

Services will be held by the family at a later date at the home of Jennifer and Russell.
