Larry Lee Collins Obituary

Larry Lee Collins, 74, of Lewistown, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.


Born Oct. 21, 1951, in Cairo, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Keene) Collins.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Nelson and Judy Whitker.


He is survived by his wife, Debra (Marks) Collins; sons, Larry Lee Collins Jr., of Burnham, Michael Collins and companion, Peggy Corbin, of New Bloomfield; grandchildren, Stone, Lynden, Aiden, Conner, Bo, Cheyenne, Carrissa; great-granddaughter, Arya; siblings, Daniel Collins and wife, Fran, and Ann White and husband, Bill, both of Georgia.


Larry honorably served in the National Guard and dedicated 28 years to the United States Army, from which he retired. Following his military service, he worked at Philips for 34 years until his retirement.


Larry found great joy in following his sons to their sporting events. He cherished the moments spent cheering them on from the sidelines, and he especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking in his leisure time.


A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.


A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, with Rev. John Walters officiating.


Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
