Laura Marie Havice

Laura Marie Havice, 46, was taken from us too soon on June 21, 2022, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Born on January 13, 1976, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Timothy I. Havice, of Lewistown and Faye C. Havice, of Reedsville.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by; her husband, Joel Vigen, of Jacksonville, FL.; her brother, Matthew F. Havice and wife, Amanda, of Atlanta, Georgia; and her twin niece and nephew, Ansley, and Jackson, whom she adored, all from Decatur, GA.; loving grandmother, Carlyn Cook.

Laura was especially close to her grandparents, James and Vera Havice, and Odell Cook, who preceded her in death.

She was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1994, and a graduate from the University of North Florida with a degree in English. She worked for many years in the insurance industry starting as a file clerk, and underwriter and working her way to Senior Vice President - Head of Inland marine at ARGO Group.

Laura was a unique soul with many talents and interests. From writing, playing piano, playing games with a goal of winning, traveling and everything about Harry Potter, and her beloved dogs English Cream golden retrievers, Albus and Hagrid.

She was a true participant in life and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, 200 East Third St., Lewistown, with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating.

The interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
