Leonard J. Socoski

Leonard J. Socoski, 70, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on June 12, 1950, in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Paul Socoski Sr., and Evelyn (John) Socoski, who survives.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by; wife, Bonita Socoski, who passed on Jan. 15, 2018; and two infant siblings.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by; children, Albert Miller Jr., of North Carolina and Betty Jo Miller and husband, Gary, of Lewistown; two granddaughters, Alexis and Abigail; siblings, Paul Socoski Jr. and wife, Vera, of Corey, PA; Evelyn “Kay’ Kephart, of Osceola Mills, Brenda Eaken, of Tyrone, Randy Socoski and wife, Michelle, of Houtzdale, and Corey Socoski and wife, Stacy, of Houtzdale.

Leonard entered the United States Navy as an Airman in 1969 and served until 1973.

He worked construction at HRI, Inc. where he later retired.

Leonard was an avid hunter and most recently enjoyed bowling.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be held at American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin, PA.
