Linda Gemberling, 82 Years Old, of Reedsville, went home on Thursday, January 15, 2026, after a short illness.

She spent her career in the Selinsgrove Area School District as a substitute teacher and later as an elementary librarian. She retired in 2004 and moved to Reedsville.

She was the daughter of J Bailey McNitt and Mary McNitt of Lewistown. She is survived by her son, Scott, of Lewistown; one brother, Bill and his wife, Marilee, of Reedsville, their three children (Nathan, Maggie, and John), and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles originally of Selinsgrove.

A time of visitation will be held at Calvary Bible Church at 100 Calvary Lane Lewistown on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a private burial.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be sent to the Food Ministry of Calvary Bible Church Lewistown PA or 365 Hospice of State College.
