Linda Marie Rhine, 82, of  Lewistown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at her home.

Born April 9, 1943, in Durham, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucille (Miramon) Druckenmiller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner Donald F. Reeder.

She is survived by; children, Michele Dalton, of Mifflin, Dannie Rhine, of Lewistown; step-son, Darren Reeder, of Enola; grandchildren, Kylene McCartney and husband, Ryan, Brodie Dalton and wife, Whitney, Jaedan Rhine, Tanner Rhine; great-grandchildren, Micah, Bennett, and Christian Dalton, and Maddux Dalton McCartney; brothers, Albert Druckenmiller and companion, Marla, of Grantville, Larry Druckenmiller and wife, Karen, of Lewistown.

Beyond her immediate family, Linda touched countless lives through her extensive work as a foster mother for nearly 30 years, including Allen Kearney and Harry Lowber, providing them with love, support, and a stable environment. Her dedication to fostering enriched the lives of so many.

Linda’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident throughout her career. After graduating from Lewistown High School in 1961, she worked at American Viscose before embarking on a journey of business ownership. She owned and operated Hess Station from 1969-1980, Rhines Distributing from 1981-1993, Call-A-Ride, and the Merry Go Round.

She enjoyed the holidays, going to sporting events and special times with family. She also enjoyed camping and tending to the wildlife, especially the deer.

Michele, Dannie, and Allen would also like to express their thanks to caregivers Heidi Beers and Teresa Miller and the Geisinger Hospice Team for helping us through the final weeks of taking care of our mother. We would’ve been lost without them.

Per her wishes, no services to be held.
