Linda A. (Shrock) Sunday

Linda A. Sunday, 62, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:11 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020, at her home.  She is now at peace and walking with the Lord.

Born May 18, 1958, in Catlett, Va., she was the daughter of Mahlon Shrock and the late Edna M. (Miller) Shrock, and stepdaughter of Mahlon's wife, Irene, of Belleville.

In addition to her father and stepmother, Linda is survived by: her husband, Steven M. Sunday Sr.; six children, Melissa Varner, Steven M. Sunday Jr. and wife, Roxanne, Nichole Sunday, and Susan Fraine and husband, Jerrod, all of Lewistown, Sandra Metzgar and husband, Jeff Jr., of Siglerville, and Karen Dunn and husband, Joshua, of Milroy; 11 grandchildren, Trevor Heimbach, Star and Ethan Sunday, Noah and Riley Peachey, Alexis Maroney, Alan and Hannah and Hunter Wagner, and Haylee and Hayden Dunn; and a brother, Melvin Shrock and wife, Laurie, of McVeytown.

Linda was a Rothrock High School graduate, Class of 1977.

She had attended Grace Covenant Church.

She was employed at Scotty's Fashions until the plant closed, Trinity Plastics for 18 years, and lastly, as a machine operator at First Quality in Lewistown.

She was a member of the Lewistown Moose Family Center.

Linda was a hard worker and loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed camping and riding her Harley with husband, Steve, and baking Christmas cookies.  She was an enthusiastic Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, at New Life Church, 101 North Beech Street, Burnham, with Rev. John Walters and Rev. Mike Bailey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda's memory may be made to the family in care of Steven M. Sunday Sr., 410 Bridge Street, Lewistown, PA 17044.
