Linda 'Nan' Lou Hebert

Linda L. Hebert, 67, of Newport, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at Geisinger Holy Spirit, Camp Hill.

Born September 17, 1952, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Jean (Bousum) Walters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Curnius “Abe” Hebert.

She is survived by: children, Mark W. Barlett, Jr., of Maryland, and Tracy L. Barlett, of Belleville; two grandsons, Mark W. Barlett III, and Christopher Baumgardner; brother, Rick Walters and companion, Mary Goss, of McClure; niece, Kimber Fisher and Garrett; and a close friend, Tina Hale, of Lewistown.

Linda was a Christian by faith.

She was a 1970 graduate of Chief Logan High School and studied nursing at the Vo-Tech where she was valedictorian of her class.

Linda worked at the Lewistown Hospital, Harrisburg Hospital, and Perry Village Nursing Home, where she retired.

Her name was Linda, but everyone called her ‘Nan’. She was fascinated with history and loved to read about the Civil War. Linda enjoyed helping and taking care of people, going for long car rides, listening to her grandson Mark sing to her, and watching television. She loved her dogs, Oreo, Izzy, Kitty, Rusty, Bear and Bella, and anything that had to do with a bear.

A viewing will be held from 10 am to 11 am, Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am., with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

Interment will be held at Juniata Memorial Park following the funeral service
