Lynn K. Kearns, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his home.
Born on February 28, 1947, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William B. Kearns Jr. and Mary B. (Morrison) Kearns, Harpster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, Wilbur Harpster.
He is survived by his wife, Karen S. (Hackett) Kearns, of McClure; two sons, Ty W. Kearns and companion, Shannon Shambach, of McClure and Michael S. Kearns, of Reedsville; and a granddaughter, Sara Shambach; five siblings, Linda Hoy and husband, Jerry, of Beaver Springs, George Harpster and wife, Linda, of Lewistown, David Harpster and wife, Holly, of Pleasant Gap, Christopher Harpster and wife, Deb, of Tenn., and Barbara Kinsey and husband, Kent, of VA; mother-in-law, Pearl Hackett, of McClure; brother-in-law, Ray G. Hackett and wife, Marleen, of Dalmatia, PA; and a sister-in-law, Vicky Hackett, of London, Ohio.
Lynn was a Chief Logan graduate, Class of 1965.
He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969, he was a Vietnam veteran.
Lynn was a member of Lawvers United Methodist Church. He was also a member of American Legion Post 942, McClure, and the Shade Mountain hunting Camp, in McClure.
He worked as an ironworker for Iron Workers Local 772 in Clearfield, PA.
Lynn enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his sons and his friends. He was a wonderful loving husband, a great father, and grandfather.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at Lawvers U.M.C., with Pastor James Jacobs and Pastor Kathy Mercado officiating, graveside service to follow with Military Honors.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
