Malvern S. Ettinger, 76, of Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born February 8, 1947, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Edward J. Ettinger Sr. and Jennie H. (Stuck) Ettinger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by; brothers, Robert Stuck, and Edward J. Ettinger Jr.
He is survived by, his wife, Sheila R. (Glace) Ettinger, whom he married April 6, 1992, and shared a wonderful 31 years together; children, Deena Lynn and husband, rich, of Lewistown, Michael Cramer and wife, Abbie, of Lewistown, Stephanie Atherton and husband, Seth, of Millerstown; eight grandchildren, Rachele, Josh, Kirsten, Emma, Owen, Cole, Lucas, and Cecilia; a brother, Ronald Ettinger, of Maitland; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Malvern was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1966.
He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Lewistown; and a member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge #143.
Malvern worked at Standard Steel in the melt shop, retiring after 41 years of service.
He loved spending time with his family, and swimming at the YMCA. He made friends wherever he went and has an abundance of friends that will miss him dearly.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, at Juniata Memorial Park, with Pastor Eric Marsteller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Malvern’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
