Marcia F. Hackenberg, 80, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Greenwood Village.
Born October 20, 1943, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Barger) Krick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie F. Fisher; granddaughter, Chelsea Britt; and son-in-law, Stephen Britt.
She is survived by her husband, James C. Hackenberg, whom she married April 17, 1961; children, Kathy Britt, of Milroy, Julie Cavanaugh and husband, Doug, of McVeytown, Kandice DiGiorgio and husband, Frank, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Josh Yale and wife, Ashley, Matt Cavanaugh, Kate Fisher, Mikala Sanchez and husband, David, Halle Fisher, Noah Fisher, Nichole Digiorgio, Heidi Heintz and husband, Damon, Kirsten Adamski and husband, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Landen, Kian, Aubrey, Gaia, and Theo; sisters, Nettie Fisher, of Maitland, Sheila Umbenhour, of Lewistown, and Brenda Messerman and husband, Ken, of Maitland.
Marcia was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
She was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1961.
Marcia worked at Sunoco Gas Station, Scotty’s Fashions, Jamesway, Arrow Shirt Factory, and lastly at JD’s Inc. where she retired after 45 years.
She loved being with her family, and enjoyed being outdoors in her flower garden, doing yard work, and running the John Deere tractor.
A receiving of friends will be held from 3 to 4 p.m., on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Maitland Church of the Brethren, 315 Crossover Drive, Lewistown, followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Jeannine Leister.
