Margaret E. “Peg” Alexander, 97, of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown and formerly of Middle Road, Lewistown, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018.
She was the daughter and youngest child of Leonard Kyler and Emma Michael. Both preceded her in death. Both her husbands also preceded her death. Franklin J. Dukes who was killed, 1945 in WWII and Marvin E. (Jack) Alexander whom she married in 1950. They had 63 years and 6 months together before his death in 2014.
She is survived by her only child Margaret Morret, and husband, John; two grandchildren, Adam Earnest, and wife, Dawn; Sharon Russell, and husband Steven; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Peg worked at Arrow shirt factory-Lewistown then at Pa. Department of Health in the Lewistown office until her retirement. She enjoyed time with family and friends, as well as, time at their trailer in Delaware.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, (Woodlawn) 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow immediately after the viewing at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Alex Dyakiw officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Mark’s Community Cemetery, Lewistown.
