Marjorie L. (Quay) Sellers, 98, of Lewistown, went home to be with the LORD at 8:41 p.m., on November 4, 2024, at Greenwood Village.
She was born on October 1, 1926, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late William C. Quay and Martha W. (Hughes) Quay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer E. Sellers, who died March 3, 2008; a daughter, Pamela J. Sellers; sister, Kathleen L. Van Horne; grandson, Stephen Palmer Sellers; and a step-sister, Anna M. Hertzler Hambright.
She is survived by her son, Stephen E. Sellers, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Martha (Webb) Langley and husband, Colin, Douglas E. Sellers; great-grandchildren, Sarah Webb Lorett, Melanie Webb, Kurtis Webb, Draven Sellers; great-great-grandchildren, Oscar Webb; Edward Lorett, and Alfonse Lorett, Clair, Caroline and Carter Webb and baby Webb, due in about two months; and a nephew, Thomas Ray Van Horne, of Florida.
Marjorie was a member of Evangel Baptist Church, where she was a member of Evans Elders and had helped with children’s church and Awana’s.
She was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1945.
Marjorie worked as a machine operator at the American Viscose until the 1972 flood.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at Centre Union Church, 200 Greenwood Ave, Yeagertown, PA 17099, with a funeral service at 12 p.m. with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating.
Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
