Marjorie E. Snook, 78, of Milroy, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Greenwood Village.
Born on October 26, 1944, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Archie E. Wyland and Frances E. (Shirk) Wyland; stepmother, Marcella Wyland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; siblings, Melvin E. Wyland; stepbrothers, Bill Stidfole, and Gary Stidfole; one great-grandchild; and a son-in-law, Bill Warntz.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Snook; children, Susie Carolus and husband, Earl, of Lewistown, Linda Snook, of Yeagertown, Ronald Snook and wife, Cathy, of Huntingdon, Ella Snook and husband, Russell Eby, of Burnham, Alice Warntz, of Lewistown, Lisa Wyland and husband, Scott, of Centre Hall, Tom Snook and wife, Sauni, of Millheim and adopted daughter, Julie Snook, of Milroy; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; step-siblings, Harry Stidfole, of Middlebury, Karen Sweitzer, of Lewistown, Sharon Shank, of Lock Haven, and Steve Wyland, of Florida; sister-in-law, Rosealla Wyland, of Belleville.
Marjorie was a member of the Watts Memorial United Methodist Church.
In her earlier years, she worked for Scotty’s Fashions and Fisher’s Electronics.
She enjoyed hand knitting blankets, going to yard sales, doing crossword and word search puzzles. In her younger years, she loved working on the farm.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating.
Interment will take place at Lawver’s Cemetery.
