Marlin Fern Worley, Sr., 85, formerly of Strodes Mills, passed away at 8:50 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Greenwood Village.
Born Jan. 27, 1939, in Granville Township, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Edna F. (Penepacker) Worley.
In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by: wife, Florence “Jean” (Claybaugh) Worley, March 11, 2020; son, Marlin Fern “Mark” Worley Jr., Oct. 5, 2022, and siblings, Charles R. “Bob” Worley, and Anna E. (Worley) Rehrer.
Marlin is survived by a sister, Jane P. (Worley) Snook, of Lewistown, and dear family friend, Kandy Groce, of Granville.
He was a local high school graduate.
Marlin loved trains and was a life member of the Lewistown Junction Railroad Society.
He was employed at Fisher’s Sale Barn, Harrisburg State Hospital Farm, and lastly, as a truck driver for Noerr Motor Freight.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Tom Morningstar officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
