Mary Elizabeth Weaver

Mary Elizabeth Weaver, 98, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her home.

Born on November 26, 1926, in Sandusky, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Odessa (Penn) Longer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Weaver Sr.; siblings, Richard, Leonard, Edward and Harold Longer; and sons-in-law, Jay Kauffman, and Cliff Kuhns.

She is survived by her children, Arlene Kuhns and husband, Robert, of Reedsville, Mary Grace Kauffman, of South Carolina, Clarence R. Weaver Jr. and companion, Patricia Jones, of Yeagertown, Shirley Weaver and husband, Raymond, of Milroy, Donna Royer and husband, Byron, of Lewistown; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 43 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of City Hook and Ladder.

Earlier in life she worked at Kinney Shoe Factory and Empire Kosher. She was also devoted homemaker for her family.

She loved listening to music, singing and dancing at Hogan’s.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Reverend Bernard Carpenter officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
