Maud E. McKinley, 88, of Burnham, passed away at 4:53 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2020, at Valley View Haven.
Born March 10, 1932, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey E. and Alice A. (Pontius) McCalips.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Russell L. McKinley, whom she married July 2, 1955, on May 11, 2015; son, Jeffrey L. McKinley; and sister, Minnie Mowery.
Maud is survived by: daughter, Christine M. Wertz and husband, Steven, of Yeagertown; grandchildren, Amanda Crick Parrish and husband, Tyler, of Pittsburgh, and Drew Wertz and wife, Heather, of Lewistown; great-grandchildren, Reese Crick and Savannah Wertz; and a brother, Albert McCalips and wife, Beverly, of Lewistown.
She graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1950.
Maud was an active member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
In her earlier years, Maud was employed as a cook at William Penn Nursing Home. She later retired as a cook from Ohesson Manor. Maud also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society throughout her life.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and enjoyed making people laugh.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2020, at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 US Highway 522 South, Lewistown, with Pastor Vaughn Kanagy officiating.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.
